show, now in its 19 th year. The Tailgate Antiques show, held
twice yearly, has a well earned reputation as one of the countries
most fertile antiques hunting grounds. Over 180 dealers from
over 35 states set-up at the Fiddlers Inn in Nashville, Tennessee
displaying the finest in Country, Formal, Folk Art, Silver,
Pottery, Jewelry, Fine Art, Rugs, Rustic and many other categories
to numerous to list here. The nature of the displays- dealers set up in hotel rooms and their adjoining parking spaces, provides an informal atmosphere to shop and discover unique items. Don’t let the casual nature of the show fool you, as many of the dealers are among the best in their fields in the country. The Tailgate show has merchandise for both the beginning collector as well as for those searching for that rare item to top off a lifelong collection. Tailgate is the first of the shows to open in Antiques Week in Nashville, which brings together over 600 dealers displaying at 3 venues located within walking distance of each other. These shows represent one of the best opportunities for quality antique shopping in the county. Tailgate begins with a Wednesday morning early buying period. During this four-hour period, you have a chance to buy along with dealers, decorators and serious collectors. This admission is also good for readmission during the remainder of the show. Many customers return daily and see new items that they previously missed. It truly takes more than one day to take in the whole show as dealers restock and re-organize their displays. |
